This course studies the distinctive group of turn-of-the-century Spanish writers known as the ¿Generation of 1898¿: Unamuno, Baroja, Valle-Inclán, Machado, etc. Outcome: Students will be able to discern the similarities and differences among the writers of this generation, as well as their relationship to modernism.
