Prerequisite: AP 111 or AP 141 or AP 143 or DP 111 or TL 111 or approval of chairperson Through the study of 17th-, 18th-, and 19th-century corsetry, learn how the body is manipulated in order to create a fashion silhouette. Further study through in-store market research provides analysis of the differences between corsetry and traditional draping. Develop technical patterns and use traditional construction techniques to create a period corset.
