This course is a critical survey of the philosophy and techniques of measurement and appraisal using both commercial and customized instruments. The course will concentrate on the theory and techniques used in employee selection, performance and promotability assessment and other human resources decision-making challenges. Students learn how to develop effective measures to solve corporate problems, such as assessing customer attitudes and employee satisfaction. [1/2/1997]
