PSYC 7708 - Prevention and Education

Institution:
Fairleigh Dickinson University-College at Florham
Subject:
Description:
Organizations such as schools and treatment facilities are increasingly being mandated to develop cost effective programs to address a broad spectrum of pressing social problems. For example with schools, we are deeply concerned about the prevention of substance abuse, and related health issues (eg. the spread of AIDS). Furthermore, all categories of organization are also being required to assume responsibility for the outcomes of these programs. In order to meet the goals of effectiveness and accountability, these institutions are in dire need of staff such as S.A.C.S. that are trained in these areas. [9/4/1996]
