Institution:
Fairleigh Dickinson University-College at Florham
Subject:
Description:
Through hands-on experience, students learn the basic skills of electronics such as soldering, reading schematic diagrams, and the use of electronic measuring instruments including digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators. Students build basic electronic circuits using transistors, resistors, capacitors, diodes, LED's, integrated circuits and other components and make measurements to confirm their functions as explained in the lecture section of the course. Other experiments include basic optics, light and color, house and appliance wiring, computer maintenance and upgrading.
