This course builds upon the knowledge base developed in Therapeutics I to further develop and refine skills needed for the health care management of the adult client in the primary care setting. Using a systems approach, students continue to examine alterations in health of the adult client. Emphasis is on diagnosis and management of problems encountered in the health care setting commonly managed by nurse practitioners. At the conclusion of this course, students are expected to identify and treat alterations in health which are commonly managed in the primary care setting as well as to completely diagnose and refer complex problems which require special care management.
