This course is designed for current and prospective middle school and elementary school teachers. Possible topics include basic geometry theorems and instructions; polygons and polyhedra; and the Pythagorean theorem; symetry, similarity and scaling; dynamic geometry using computer software and the Internet; properties of transformational geometry; history of geometry. Note: This course cannot be used to fullfill any requirement for the mathematics major or minor. Prerequisite: Teacher certification or MATH 1101 or higher number math course. [8/30/2006]
