BIOL 3406 - Global Ecology & Human Impact

Institution:
Fairleigh Dickinson University-College at Florham
Subject:
Description:
Global climate change, declining global fisheries, high levels of mercury found in remote animal populations, and rapid rates of extinction are all symptoms of human impacts on the global environment. Students in this course will focus on three major global environmental issues, delving deeply into the science that informs our understanding of these problems. We will investigate the underlying ecological and environmental systems affected, how humans have impacted those systems, and the scientific feasibility of proposed solutions to these problems.
