An introduction to atomic and molecular quantum mechanics, molecular symmetry, and chemical applications of group theory, applications to atomic and molecular spectroscopy, molecular orbital theory, and computational chemistry. Laboratory principles and procedures are integrated with and satisfied by CHM 413, CHM 422-427. Prerequisites: CHM 211, MTH 152, PHY 121 (PHY 121 may be taken concurrently).
