Description:
A general course designed to enrich students delight in the language of the creative literary imagination. Specific objectives include increasing students capacities to understand how language works, to recognize literature's connection with its historical, cultural, spiritual, and personal contexts, and to appreciate literary study's value as a process through which individuals and communities grow. Students read, interpret, and evaluate selected literary texts, which may include poetry, drama, fiction, and/or nonfiction. Prerequisite: ENG 106 or equivalent.
