Quarter course Teacher candidates who have been admitted to a teacher education program work with faculty mentors to further develop program portfolios in order to demonstrate developing competence under the Department of Education146s Cross-Unit Portfolio Program to meet the appropriate state and/or national professional organization content standards and the Illinois Professional Education Standards as well as to develop the ability to synthesize content with practice and/or think in an interdisciplinary manner within their fields.
