The basic concepts of visual literacy, techniques, materials, and traditional subject matter are used to develop skills in painting and fundamental concepts of art. Emphasis will be on composition and production of painting projects and aesthetic and formal principles that inform them. The course is intended for students with no previous experience in painting.
