Develops conceptual understanding and computational skills in unit analysis, uses of percentages, and dealing with quantities and their magnitudes. Includes formulas of finance for simple interest, compound interest and loan payments; functions and their graphs; linear equations; exponential growth and decay; principles of counting; fundamentals of probability; and estimation and approximation techniques to judge the reasonableness of answers. Also includes representing and analyzing data using statistical tools such as hitograms; measures of central tendency; variance and standard deviation; linear regression and scatter plots; normal distributions; and margin of error and confidence intervals.
