The matrix stiffness method for the analysis of trusses, frames, plates, shells, and multi-component structures such as framework stiffened shells. Thermal stresses. Nonlinear effects. When taught in conjunction with CE 420, the course requires additional independent work for those registered for the graduate course. Prerequisite: CE320 or consent of the instructor.
