This course will provide an opportunity to assess and develop one's own skills in group work, information technology, original research, and project-based learning. As part of the Honors Program, students are expected eventually to pursue their own thesis research and explore cutting-edge issues in science, technology, and society. This course is designed to prepare them to investigate the social and ethical implications of emerging knowledge and its applications. Students will be required to hone their skills in investigation, critical thinking, written and oral communication of complex ideas, working as part of a team, and problem-solving. They will also be expected to acquire computer competencies necessary for work at Clarkson and eventual research at the University.
