A study of the properties of a wide range of construction materials including aggreagates, concrete, bituminous materials, stell, nonferrous matals, wood and masonry. Simple material estimates ares also included. Standard lab tests are conducted with an emphasis on aggregates and concrete. The course is supplemented with field trips to batch plants, quarries and other relevant sites.
