Problem solving methods and algorithm develoment techniques; programming style and development using current techniques of 'good' programming. The language of implementation will be PASCAL or C on PC'S. Topics will include the syntax of language studied; arrays; elementary sorting searching techniques; basic data structures to include stacks, queques linked lists, and binary trees. Programming assignments will emphasize numerical methods and engineering applications.
