Description:
This is a preparatory course for students who wish to pursue further work in Computer Science. It provides an introduction to the basic concepts of a computer system and the principles of computer programming. Students will get extensive programming experience using microcomputers. A number of programming projects will be assigned involving numeric computations, character manipulation and fundamental constructs of the high-level programming language JAVA. A common comprehensive final exam will be given in CS-200, programming I. The date and time of the exam will be published in the Schedule of Classes under Deparment Notes. Students in all sections of CS-200 must attend the exam at the published day and time.
