This is a post-practice elective course, majors only. The purpose of this course is to emphasize concepts, methods and issues in social group work practice beyond what has been learned in SWK Practice I & II. The focus will be on group work theory and practice as it applies to different practice settings and different populations. Emphasis will be placed on the social worker's developing self-awareness, ethical competence and practice skills in working with groups.
