Presents a theoretical framework focusing on meeting the counseling needs of identified target populations in a programmatic fashion. Prevention, crisis intervention and community based interventions are presented. Specific skills in target population, identification, need assessment, goal formulation, intervention design and program evaluation are developed. Course contributes to both the appraisal and research components of the program and is required of all students.
