Description:
Candidates work on-site in special education programs where services are provided for children and youths with special needs with moderate to severe disabilities. The focus of this internship is on assessing student needs and establishing a positive plan for change through the implementation of a functional behavioral assessment for students with diasbilities who receive an alternate curriculum and/or whose for whom the general education curriculum would be significantly modified to allow them access to grade level content. Field-based settings allow candidates to engage in assessment, lesson planning and collaborative activities in school settings.
