This course addresses teaching methodology and strategies appropriate for individuals with mild to moderate disabilities in the areas of reading, spoken and written language, mathematics, and social/emotional development in the Least Restrictive Environment and in accordance with best practice in the field. Development of the Individualized Education Program, informal assessment and instructional planning for diverse learners are emphasized.
