Lecture 3 hours; 3 credits. Prerequisites: CET 305 and MATH 102M or equivalent. This course covers the fundamentals of geodetic reference surfaces, geometry of the ellipsoid, deviation of the vertical, geodetic reductions, gravity surface, geodetic position computations, geodetic control and distance measurements. It also covers geodetic triangulation, trilateration, traversing and astronomical methods of azimuth determination.
