Students will study world politics in the post-cold war era by focusing on a variety of political ""actors"" including, but not limited, to nation-states, non-governmental organizations, and intergovernmental organizations including transnational organizations such as the United Nations and supranational organizations such as the European Union. Students develop an understanding of idealism and realism as the two major theories for organizing the study of world politics.
