Students will examine the ideas and ideals which characterize the moral, intellectual, and aesthetic activities from the Renaissance to the 20th century. By considering the literature, art, music, philosophy, and religion of various ages, students will learn how these interrelated disciplines define a people and a time. Students will also gain an overview of individuals and works in the humanities which are fundamental to recent Western culture. Prerequisite: ENG 1530. Campus and term: C occasionally
