Designed for the beginning nursing student, students will learn basic principles of pharmacology and medication dosage calculation. Pharmacologic principles and legal/ethical considerations are important to understand to safely administer and assess medications that will be given during the clinical component of NUR 1510. Calculations include interpretation of physician orders, accurate reading of drug labels, use of medication measuring equipment, and implications for varying ages of clients.
