Students will identify, understand, and interpret fundamental biological principles such as biodiversity, evolution, ecology, chemical foundations of life, cell structure and function, cellular metabolism, photosynthesis, respiration, cellular reproduction, and classical, human and molecular genetics. Laboratory may include one or more outdoor experiences. Prerequisite: high school chemistry or Corequisites: CHE 1500 or CHE 1530 and MAT 0600 and ENG 1510 (or Eligibility: ENG 1530).
