Includes exploration of lines and planes as they relate to orthographic projection to show the size and shape of objects. Includes application of principles and graphic elements of sectioning to show interior detail; the techniques involved in creating oblique projections, axonometric projections, and perspective drawings; and the dimensioning techniques and symbol usage common to all drafting disciplines. Prerequisite: DFT 102 with a grade of C or greater or Approval of Program Coordinator. Lecture: 2 credits (30 contact hours); Laboratory: 2 credits (60 contact hours).
