This course focuses on the clinical, histological and radiographic differences between healthy and unhealthy periodontal tissues. Topics to be discussed also include etiology, risk factor assessment, pathogenesis and classification of periodontal diseases. Prerequisite: Completion of DH 120, DH 121 and BSL 214 (or BIO 208/226), all with a grade of C or better. Lecture: 2 credits (30 contact hours).
