Basic concepts in assessing community dental health needs are introduced. Planning, implementing and evaluating dental health programs, as well as current trends and issues in preventive dental health education, are discussed. Concepts related to reading and interpreting scientific literature are also included. Students must develop and present a community dental health project and scientific tabletop presentation. Prerequisite: Completion of DH 220, DH 222, DH 224 and DH 226, all with a grade of C or better. Lecture: 4 credits (60 contact hours).
