The role of the dental hygienist in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease is stressed. Current advancements in the management of patients with periodontal disease. A continuation and expansion of material covered in DHG 136. Prerequisite: (Completion of (DHG 130 and DHG 132 and DHG 136 and DAH 111 and DAH 131) with a grade of C or better). Lecture: 1.5 credits (22.5 contact hours); Laboratory: 0.5 credit (30 contact hours).
