An introductory course designed for all paraeducators. The student will be introduced to methods on the creation of a learning environment, basic classroom management theories, key principles and practices of special education, and the similarities and differences of individuals with and without exceptional learning needs. (10 hours field work required.) Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours).
