A survey of traditional and modern literature for elementary school children. Emphasis is on selection evaluation, storytelling, and use of multimedia materials and the media to meet the literary needs and interests of children. A field observation requirement of a minimum of fifteen clock hours in an approved educational setting is required. Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours). Prerequisite: ENG 101 and ENG 102.
