Description:
Radiographic positioning techniques of the shoulder girdle, hip and pelvis, thoracic and lumbar spines. Preparation, procedures and positioning for fasting contrast media studies. Application of technical factors and radiation protec-tion. Clinical Objective Evaluation (COE) of respective radiographic examinations and evaluation of selected radiographs. Application of injection techniques symptoms, reaction and care of the shock, trauma, diabetic, convulsive, uncooperative, pediatric, geriatric and AIDS patient as encountered in the Radiology Department. Clinical Education II in hospital affiliate will be the application of knowledge from classroom to hospital setting; radio-graphy of the patient with guided clinical supervision. Observation and evaluation of student; evaluation/critique of radio-graphic examinations completed by students conducted by College faculty. Corequisite: DMI 106; Prerequisites: DMI 105 and DMI 131. Additional course fee: $79.
