Opportunities for self-assessment are provided, with assignments designed to identify personal interests, abilities, values and experiences as a basis for generating career alternatives. The decision-making model presented has applications for facilitating vocational selection and is equally appropriate for general life planning. The multi-media approach to world of work information-gathering uses printed and computerized resources, as well as videotapes, guest speakers and personal interviews.
