The purpose of this course is to prepare the nursing student to deliver holistic nursing care to adults with health alterations arising from a disruption in homeostasis. The focus is on introducing the concepts of medical-surgical nursing to clients in need of assistance coping with health problems, or recovering from the effects of disease or injury. The theoretical component is implemented utilizing clinical assignments and observational experiences. 4-9-7
