Business intelligence comprises the strategies and technologies used by enterprises to transform raw data into meaningful and useful information in order to aid decision making. This course helps students to understand the important role of business intelligence in modern organizations and shows students how to use business intelligence tools and applications to effectively transform, analyze, present and interpret results for making fact-based business decisions. Emphasis is placed on how to use business intelligence tools and applications to transform, analyze, and present data, rather than on statistical theory and calculations. Students use business intelligence software for data cleansing, organizing, analysis, and presentation.
