An intensive study of representative theatre works by major Spanish American, Central American, Mexican and Caribbean dramaturges of the twentieth century with an emphasis on the contemporary period. Students will read and evaluate plays and study appropriate critical approaches to modern theatre within the context of socio-political, economic and historic conditions and events.
