Introduces concepts, principles, methods, and theories applied in and through remote sensing of the earth's physical and cultural features. Includes understanding the physical principles of the electromagnetic spectrum, the technological underpinnings of a variety of sensors, and applications of these technologies. Applies industry standard software packages in the geospatial sciences to illustrate course concepts and build software recognition and application skills.
