This course is an introduction to drawing in a variety of media and subject matter including still life. Discussion and demonstration will augment studio work. Upon successful completion of this course students should be able to: Demonstrate ability to draw what is seen incorporating the basic properties of line figure-ground relationship, value and texture. Diagram perspective. Demonstrate the ability to activate the concept of the picture plane. Produce cohesive composition. Create the illusion of three-dimensional forms and space on a two-dimensional plane.
