Description:
Within this clinical laboratory-based course, the student will be actively engaged in rotations and lectures in hematology. Emphasis will be placed on all the hematologic cell series, anemias, leukemias, and other blood dyscrasias. Hematology clinical laboratory procedures will be more fully covered to allow the student to function in a clinical hematology laboratory on an entry level of proficiency. Prerequisite: MLT 210. Corequisite: MLT 221, MLT 222, MLT 230, MLT 231, MLT 232, MLT 233. (Winter)
