EGR 227 - Kinematics

Institution:
Westmoreland County Community College
Subject:
Engineering
Description:
Includes an in-depth study of two-dimensional motion of mechanisms and machine elements to determine linear and angular position, velocity, and acceleration of joints and points of interest on the mechanism. Analysis techniques include graphical, analytical, and numerical methods such as relative velocity and acceleration, instant centers, and vector loop. Students are required to do a semester-long project that includes a detailed analysis of all kinematic aspects of a two-dimensional mechanism of their choice.
