Introductory course in vertebrate embryology. Emphasis is placed upon the structural and functional aspects of comparative vertebrate reproduction and ontogeny. Laboratory work consists of the study of gametogenesis, early Amphioxus and frog development and a selected series of chick and pig developmental stages. One hour lecture and four hours lab/week. Prerequisites: Principles of Biology I and II.
