The student will explore Printmaking with an increased level of production, critique, history and aesthetics. This course will provide students with opportunities to explore and develop techniques and concepts of Printmaking. Emphasis will be on the manual procedures of printing black and white as well as color prints. Continued development of technical ability, conceptual development and media experimentation will be stressed. Primary emphasis will be place on the development of creative problem-solving skills, Through creative studio practice, students should develop the following emphasized artistic traits: ability to resist premature closure; sensitivity to problems; ability to synthesize.
