St. Thomas Aquinas College is an independent liberal arts college, which provides education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The College requires each undergraduate to attain a broad foundation in the liberal arts and sciences. The College provides a range of undergraduate majors and graduate programs to assist students to prepare for careers and/or graduate studies through a deeper focus in a major field of study. Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    Transfer students are admitted to the College in both September and January, and while there is no deadline, applications should be submitted as early as possible.
  • Transfer Agreements:
    St. Thomas continually seeks out partnerships with Community Colleges to enable our transfer students to get the most credits they deserve.
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    A max of 30 Life Experience credits may be awarded toward a bachelor's degree. There are fees to be paid for life experience credits, but they are substantially less than per credit fees.

Application Deadlines for Transfer

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    Official Transcripts from all colleges or universities you attended, including your current institution are required. If you have completed less than 30 college credits, we'll need an official high school transcript or a copy of GED report.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT 1 or ACT scores are required if high school graduation was less than one year ago.
  • Essay:
    A personal essay is required on the application.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a non-refundable $25 application fee.
  • Interview:
    We will set an appointment for you with a transfer counselor who will evaluate your credentials, discuss your plans, provide you with a tour, and a visit with a faculty member.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A maximum of 70 credits will be accepted from a 2-year, and 50 must be completed in residency for a degree. A max of 90 will be accepted from a 4-year, and 30 must be taken in residency.
