Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:

  • Official Transcripts:
    We will accept unofficial transcripts on which to base a preliminary admission decision until the official arrives to confirm. All final decisions will be subject to, and supported by the final official transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    May be required of students for certain majors, or for students with fewer than 12-15 transferrable college credits.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    May be required of students for certain majors, or for students with fewer than 12-15 transferrable college credits.
  • Essay:
    A brief personal statement is required of all applicants. The student has a choice of topics on which they can write; however, it should be well written.
  • Application Fee:
    There is currently no application fee requuired for US students. International applicants must submit a $40.00 application fee.
  • Interview:
    May be required of students for certain majors, or for students with fewer than 12-15 transferrable college credits.
  • Other Requirements:
    TOEFL and World Education Services transcript evaluation required from International transfer applicants. We may also request SAT/ACT test scores.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Students must earn a "C" or better in a college level course that fits their intended major for it to transfer. While a "D" may indicate a passing grade at the students' current institution, we will not grant credit for the course.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students must have a minimum of 12 college level, transferable credits. We will accept a maximum of 66 credits from a community or junior college and 90 from a senior institution. Saint Peter's requires a minimum of 120 credits to grant a BS/BA.
