  Fall and Spring Admission terms; up to 60 transfer credits can count toward completing a full-time bachelor's degree. Transfer transition programs, housing, orientation, mentoring and individual advising facilitate the transfer process.

  Dual Enrollment Transfer Agreements with regional accredited community colleges. SJU's Block Transfer program provides students with an Associate's Degree to waive most of our General Education requirement courses.

Application Deadlines for Transfer

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  2.50 minimum previous college cumulative gpa on a 4.0 scale
• Official Transcripts:
  All official college / university transcripts from previously attended institutions. Official High School transcript or GED score report.
• SAT Scores:
  Not required. Saint Joseph's University is a Test Optional school and has been since 2014.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Not Required. A Transfer Registrar’s Report must be sent directly from the most recent college or university attended.
• Essay:
  An essay is required for all transfer applicants. Essay prompts can be found on the SJU application or via the Common Application.
• Application Fee:
  There is no application fee.
• Interview:
  Not required. Students can request an individual appointment with a Transfer Counselor to learn more about transfer eligibility.
• Associates Degree Required:
  No. Students who have an Associate's Degree will be eligible for our Block Transfer program and classes will satisfy our General Education Program requirements.
• Other Requirements:
  Submit course syllabi as PDF's to facilitate transfer credit evaluations. (recommended)
