Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50 and at least one recent full-time semester with no grades below “C” are considered for admission.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Students must submit a final high school transcript if transferring with less than 30 college credit hours. Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Students must submit an SAT or ACT score if transferring with less than 30 college credit hours.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Recommendations, preferably from teachers or professors, are optional.
  • Essay:
    An essay of at least 500 words is required. Your essay does not have to be sent at the same time as your application, but your file will not be complete until it has been received.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $50 non-refundable application fee.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    All coursework must be completed with a grade of C or better to transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    St. Edward’s accepts up to 66 hours of community college credit and up to 90 hours of university credit. The last 30 hours of your degree and at least half of the coursework required for your major must be taken at St. Edward’s.
