St. Ambrose University is a private, catholic institution in Davenport, IA. Located on the Mississippi river, it is conveniently located 2 1/2 hours west of Chicago, 3 hours east of Des Moines, 5 hours north of St. Louis and 5 hours south of the Twin Cities. Well over 300 transfer students each year decide to complete their degrees at St. Ambrose. Students here find small class sizes (11:1 student:faculty ratio) and a great blend of career-oriented (business, health sciences, education) majors as well as the traditional liberal arts. Our current enrollment is about 3,800 students--large enough that you will not know everyone, but small enough to feel at home in our new or recently remodeled buildings. Come check us out!

Scholarships and Financial Aid:

We have transfer scholarships ranging from $3000-$6000 depending our your GPA. We also have $1000 PTK scholarships for all PTK members! Transfers may also compete for Athletic and Fine Arts scholarships. Need-based aid from St. Ambrose is also available.

Transfer Credit Policy

Minimum Grade:

You must earn a C or above in Composition and Math.
Credits (Min/Max):

Transfers must have at least 12 credits at the 100 level or above and can bring in as many as 90 from a 4-year school and 60 from a 2-year.
