Westchester Community College provides accessible, high quality and affordable education to meet the needs of our diverse community. We are committed to student success, academic excellence and lifelong learning. There are approximately 12,000 full- and part-time college credit students. Continuing education students bring the total number served by the college each semester to more than 20,000. Westchester Community College’s faculty and professional staff have received more SUNY Chancellors Awards for Excellence than any other community college in the system.   • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    Financial aid assistance is available through the Office of Student Financial Assistance. Students are urged to complete all financial aid applications online at www.fafsa.ed.gov by June 30 for the fall semester and October 30 for the spring semester.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Westchester CC requires a minimum GPA of 2.0 for transfer.
  • Official Transcripts:
    The submission of official college transcripts is required prior to the evaluation of credits. An official high school transcript is also required.
  • Application Fee:
    There is a $25 nonrefundable application fee.
  • Other Requirements:
    NY State Public Health laws require all students to sign the Meningitis Response Form. All students taking 6 or more credits and who were born on or after January 1, 1957 must also provide proof of immunity for measles, mumps and rubella.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    In general, courses in which a student has received a grade of 'C' or better will be accepted for credit if they fit into our course requirements.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    A student may have a maximum of 32 credits transferred to Westchester Community College.
